Future hot topics in football: issues and opportunities

This course is valid for the FIGC’s mandatory annual professional development requirement.

Organized in partnership with A.I.A.C.S., the leading association of football agents in Italy, it is structured over three sessions and will be conducted in English.

Throughout the program, we will explore key legal and regulatory topics that are shaping the future of the football industry - from the impact of the Lassana Diarra case on international transfer markets, to the implications of the recent ECJ proceedings on the FIFA Football Agent Regulations (FFAR), and the increasing concern over players’ workload in relation to their welfare, careers, and performance.

The sessions will be led by prominent legal experts, sports professionals, and institutional representatives, with the aim of providing participants with a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the current challenges and opportunities in football agency practice.

A distinctive feature of this course is the focus on emerging international case law and the comparative discussion of different regulatory scenarios, offering participants the opportunity to reflect on how such developments may affect their professional activity both in Italy and abroad.
